President's Cup Round 2 Matches Tee Off First. **To participate in the Low Gross, Low Net, Skins, and Closest To Pin on Par 3's competition, the $35.00 Home Tournament prize fund must be paid with credit card using the tournament "Sign-up Online" link or via Venmo to @LaMirada-MensGolfClub. Last 4-digits of the phone number if prompted by Venmo are 4231.** TWO-PERSON BEST BALL: Best ball (also known as four-ball in the Ryder Cup) involves 2-person teams where each player on the team plays his own golf ball throughout the round. After each hole the player with the lowest score on the hole (or “best ball”) out of the 2-person team serves as the teams score. The higher scoring players score is thrown out for that particular hole. Best ball format allows players to play their own game (since players keep track of their own scores), while also allowing them to take advantage of their partner playing especially well on holes. Each player may be on up to 3 teams.
