The 2019 Putting Championships are in the books. Capturing a little cash and a classic Men’s Club Jacket and winner’s plaque to be awarded at out December tournament and Awards event was the one and only Joe Rubich with 4 Aces. Competitions were fierce with 20 players showing up and give it their all on less than ideal conditions. The putting greens were punched and sanded on Monday, so all putting qualifiers had a little bit of pace and alignment problems. We had a 3 way tie for 2nd with Mike Parks, Brandon Frechette, and Woody Knight all getting 3 Aces. Sudden death they went and all 3 missed the 1st putt. On the 2nd sudden death hole, Woody “Feather” Knight knocked in the lead off putt which was just too much pressure for the 2 other guys to handle. Woody earned $60 cash for his efforts.
