BOARD MEETING: December 10, 2019

MINUTES OF MEETING: At El Chollo, Pasadena, CA.

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: At 6:14 PM.

DIRECTORS PRESENT: Scott Anderson, Bob Baumann, Vic Buxton, Steve Duffy, Randy Gottlieb, Ed Kelly, Art Longoria, Maurice Mischook, Rob Moore, Doug Philbin and Ed Sayer

ABSENT: Wayne Klippenstein

GUEST: None

BMGC PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE – Ed Kelly:

Recommended and the board approved First Tee donation for 2020.

Noted that RBOC owes BMGC $465 for First Tee donations made earlier in the year that were never transferred to First Tee. It was agreed that Scott Anderson would deduct the amount owed from the next tournament invoice payment.

NOVEMBER 2019 BOARD MINUTES: Unanimously approved as written. Next board meeting scheduled for January 14^th, 2020

SECRETARY’S REPORT – Doug Philbin: November board minutes

TREASURER’S REPORT – Wayne Klippenstein: YTD actuals versus budget update emailed to Board prior to the meeting.

Annual budget meeting to be held on January 14^th at 5pm in the Brookside club house.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT – Steve Duffy: Current active BMGC members: 270 Regular Members, 286 Brookside Associate Members and 235 SCGA Associate Members.

Presented a comparison of membership fees at other area men’s clubs.

AmGolf to send BMGC membership solicitation to Player’s Club members in the next week.

TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE REPORT – Scott Anderson: none

HANDICAP COMMITTEE REPORT – Randy Gottlieb: Adjustments for Christmas Classic; current to low for 3 players.

Reminded board members to familiarize themselves with the new World Handicap System (WHS).

Reported that some members did not post after the Bubba Classic; Randy in contact with those members to resolve.

Mandating posting by midnight of day round played in conjunction with WHS implementation.

RULES & COMPETITION/ENTERTAINMENT– Vic Buxton: none

SCGA REPORT – Art Longoria: AmGolf to donate foursome to SCGA for their holiday giveaway program.

OUT OF TOWNER – Maurice Mischook: none

COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMITTEE – Bob Baumann: none

BMGC WEB SITE — Ed Sayer: none

SCGA TEAM PLAY — Randy Gottlieb: BMGC will have three teams for 2020 Team Play. Menu for lunch at Brookside will be the same as last year. Team Play will use WHS CI as of Jan 1.
